The Lebanese Muslim Association provides settlement support to humanitarian entrants, vulnerable migrants, asylum seekers and temporary visa holders in Australia through Thrive – Client Services. We understand the diversity and complexity of our communities and we support individuals and families regardless of their background or religious beliefs. It can take many years to feel part of a new community. For this reason, we assist our clients in their integration journey to have a positive settlement experience in Australia.
The SETS program supports humanitarian entrants and vulnerable migrants of all ages during the first 5 years of settlement in Australia.
The program aims to provide humanitarian entrants and new arrivals with the tools and skills they require to navigate the Australian social system and local communities through low to medium intensity case work.
The program is dedicated to supporting and empowering newly arrived migrants through nine key areas, including:
Education and Training
Language Services
Employment Pathways
Health and Wellbeing
Family and Social Support
Civic Participation
Housing
Transport
Justice
Our program offers casework support which assesses the holistic needs of clients and provides them with effective referrals so that they can achieve their needs and goals in the nine key areas.
