Ramadan at Lakemba Mosque
Each year, Lakemba Mosque becomes a vibrant hub of worship and community as the Lebanese Muslim Association (LMA) welcomes thousands of visitors throughout Ramadan. To ensure that everyone can break their fast with a warm meal, the LMA provides a free community iftar every Friday, feeding over 500 people each week.
he mosque also facilitates Tarawih prayers every night, where worshippers come together for this special congregational prayer, with the aim of completing the recitation of the entire Qur'an over the month.
Lakemba Mosque is beautifully lit with festive lights, creating an uplifting atmosphere, while nearby street stalls and food vendors serve traditional Ramadan delicacies late into the night.
The mosque becomes a place of spiritual devotion and community connection, welcoming people from all walks of life to experience the unity and generosity of this sacred month.
